SEVENPOINTONE (CEO Evan Lee) announced that they will participate in the Eureka Park K-Startup booths, the start-up zone of “CES 2023” hosted in Las Vegas, U.S., for four days from Thursday, January 5 to Sunday, January 8, 2023 in local time.
The digital healthcare startup has been developing solutions to improve cognitive abilities and depression using VR (Virtual Reality) content by analyzing conversations for early identification of subjects with a high risk of dementia. To date, the business has filed for 10 patent registrations in the related field, attracting Naver D2SF investment in recognition of its technology's marketability.
Based on these accomplishments, SEVENPOINTONE continues to grow, expanding its business around Naver Cloud and municipalities. Furthermore, the medical device maker has successfully collaborated with various public organizations, insurance providers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical institutions at home and abroad.
In the exhibition, SEVENPOINTONE will present the AI-based and contact-free testing solution AlzWIN. This offers a simple interactive test that can be done within 1 – 2 minutes to determine the risk of cognitive decline from older subjects.
This solution offers high availability since it can be applied to any device capable of speech recognition. It is also equipped with AI technology that analyzes the cognitive abilities of the subject, immediately providing results. Thanks to these advantages, the subjects can periodically check their cognitive health for long-term tracking and management, as if they had their own personal assistant to take their vital measurements.
According to a SEVENPOINTONE representative, “The globally prevailing perspective is that aging will continue over the next three decades. This rapidly aging trend is leading to a surge in patients with dementia and elderly depression.” The representative then went on to describe the development background. “According to a study published by the University of Michigan, 91.4% of potential dementia patients are not diagnosed with dementia. To address these problems, solutions to diagnose and prevent dementia at an early stage were indispensable. That is why we sought to find the solution through AI.”
The representative also touched upon the company's future plans. “Backed by our winning of Innovation Award at this CES, we are on a search for partners to join our expansion to the U.S.” They added, “The partners we’d like to have include digital healthcare businesses that can cooperate with us in the technical field, as well as platforms and hardware manufactures to exert synergies in the field of services.”
‘CES’ is the world’s biggest IT trade show and is a place where one can see the direction and trends of the appliance industry of the entire world. Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it is held annually in Las Vegas, USA in January. Having reported on CES for 17 consecutive years, AVING News started reporting news of CES to the entire world since 2006, and conducted ‘BEST OF CES’, which chose the most innovative product and technology, and ‘BEST OF MADE IN KOREA, which chose the best innovative company in Korea. In addition, it vividly relayed on-site issues in CES through ‘AVING LIVE’.
The K-STARTUP Joint Pavilion has joint participation of institutions like the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Seoul Business Agency, and Seoul Digital Foundation, as well as 50 Korean innovative companies,to enter the US market and discover global partners. In addition, university student supporters of CES 2023 chosen by each university (Kyunghee, Kookmin, Sogang, Chung-Ang) will be matched to participating companies based on their respective majors and fields of business.
