When performing a compression test or simply not wanting "codes to be set" when the ignition key is turned ON while sensors are disconnected in the engine bay... removing the ECM relay will ensure that no fault codes are stored.
ECM Relay (if applicable) may be located inside the vehicle by the fuse / relay panel.
