Enos Slaughter, nicknamed "Country," was an outfielder who played for several Major League Baseball teams from 1938 to 1959. He was known for his hustle and aggressive playing style, and was a key player for the St. Louis Cardinals during their World Series championship seasons in 1942 and 1946. Slaughter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985.
