Opened in December 2020, the Dusit Thani Singapore provides an alternative to the old guards of family friendly resort hotels in Sentosa. As I have been to many Sentosa hotels in the past decade, this time I wanted to try something different, and what better way to start your holiday with this beautiful golf course attached to it?
The moment that you stepped into the lobby, you would instantly sense the tropical resort vibe in this check in lobby. The room that I got was very modern and cosy, and of course, spacious as well.
And what better way to embrace the heat of Singapore by soaking in this beautiful infinity pool, and if you are not in the mood to swim, you can always head to the pool side bar to enjoy snacks and all sorts of drinks like cocktail or, maybe lemonade?
But what separate this hotel from other resort hotels is its marketing strategy as a hotel for golfers, as located beside the Laguna National Golf Club, residents can share the facilities of the Club like the restaurant called the Nest. While supposedly only members are allowed to access this facility, hotel guests could also patronise this bar by paying direct, and what better way to enjoy their food with this beautiful landscape and wildlife habitat?
Last but not least, if you want to do some shopping, shuttle bus services to the Jewel of the Changi Airport will be provided in 30 minute intervals, which is also where the Changi Airport MRT station was located, so in case you want to go to Orchard for some more retail therapy, the hotel is actually not that inaccessible.
Overall, I have a happy stay in this beautiful resort hotel, most importantly, at around SGD400 per night, it was actually more affordable than many five star hotels in Sentosa, and hence I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat.
