The overcrowding in this city is getting out of control. The number of mothers having to share their bed with their kids, because there’s nowhere else for them to sleep, is astonishing. This isn’t London in the time of Dickens. This is Wales in 2019. And yet, there are 1,300 long-term empty properties sat empty in Cardiff. And 27,000 across Wales. Why do we have situations like Rachel’s, where for half the time there are 5 people living in a 1 bedroom house? It doesn’t have to be like this. We’ve got to tackle the #empty1000 and get people housed.
Mae’r gorlenwi yn y ddinas hon mas o reolaeth. Mae nifer y mamau sy’n gorfod rhannu eu gwely gyda’u plant, am nad oes unman arall iddynt gysgu, yn anhygoel. Nid Llundain yn amser Dickens yw hyn. Cymru yn 2019 yw hyn. Ac eto, mae 1,300 eiddo wedi bod yn wag am amser maith yng Nghaerdydd. A 27,000 ar draws Cymru. Pam fod gyda ni sefyllfa fel un Rachel, lle, am hanner yr amser, fod 5 o bobl yn byw mewn tŷ gydag 1 ystafell wely? Does dim rhaid i bethe fod fel hyn. Mae’n rhaid i ni fynd i’r afael â’r #1000gwag a chael tai i bobl.
