You may ask how how do I properly pack and ship glass, breakable or fragile items for Amazon FBA? That is a good question. There is tremendous opportunity for you to sell these items once you get over the fears of potentially high damage rates. I know that fear. A few months ago I once had it. I thought there was no way I want to sell liquid products that were filled in glass containers. It was a big challenge for me.


I started selling canned food prior to trying glass products, and started to see damage rates going up when I didn't package the cans correctly. It turns out that most of the products we sell on Amazon FBA really take a beating from the time they leave our warehouse to the time they are received by the customer. It made me think, how will I properly pack these items for Amazon FBA so that my customer receives something that meets or exceeds their expectations? I bought all different sized boxes and bubble wrap from many different sellers online. I still have an inventory of endless box sizes to meet the task at hand. However, I ditched the online sellers of bubble wrap and called around locally. I got far superior bubble at a cost equal or less than online. Also, I receive my bubble wrap within a few days; not a week or more. If you buy enough from your local paper company they will often deliver to you for free. But that's a whole other story. Besides, it's also great to support your local businesses and business people.


So now, after experimenting with numerous configurations I'm not in fear of packing and shipping glass or fragile items. It doesn't keep me up at night. Going for it and experimenting with different configurations allowed me to open up and see all the tremendous opportunities to sell these types of products online. I no longer felt restricted.
