Viking Blood Mead, the Original City Steading Mead that started it all. It's now been 4 years of this mead in the bottle and how does it taste? Our Viking Blood Mead is based on a 13th century recipe for cherry melomel, or cherry fruit mead. This is not to be confused with Dansk Mjod's products called Viking Blod since that is hibiscus mead. The defining characteristic of Viking Blood Mead is being made from cherries. Other berries added make it something other than a Viking Blood (not that it's a bad thing, but hey, you gotta call it something).
