An old idea, thrust into the digital age by a pandemic – vaccine passports are top of mind for countries and their citizens alike as the covid-19 vaccine rollout goes into full swing. But as policymakers eagerly anticipate vaccine passport technology to reopen their economies in the wake of the pandemic, will poor security standards and privacy practices lead to more unintended fallout from covid-19? And will they further entrench inequities between different countries and regions?
In this panel, Mozilla facilitates a conversation between three vaccine passport and policy experts to unpack the positives and pitfalls of covid vaccine passports.
