Sydney's highly anticipated W Hotel has finally opened its doors, and I had the privilege to experience it on just its second day of operation. But let me tell you, my overall experience left me quite disappointed.
In this video, I'll take you through my stay at W Sydney and give you an honest look at what went wrong. This hotel is part of the Marriott group, and I had high hopes for a luxurious experience. I made a reservation and used a suite voucher, but the process didn't go as smoothly as I expected.
First, they initially redeemed my voucher for a room with a better view, not the suite I was hoping for. It took some effort on my part to finally switch to a studio, which still wasn't a suite, and the view wasn't particularly impressive either.
The check-in process was slow due to new staff training, which was quite different from my experience at the newly opened Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne.
The room layout and amenities were disappointing for the price I paid, and the dining experience at the hotel's restaurant left much to be desired.
