“EL VITO” by José de Azpiazu. This piece is roughly an intermediate, level 2 piece. The melodies in this piece are very memorable and fun to play. I like this piece because it helps us practice our picados (alternating free strokes and rest strokes with I&M), a bit of counterpoint and some strumming (rasgueados). The piece sounds really nice at various speeds and the techniques are all very basic so it’s a great piece for higher level beginners and early to advanced level intermediate students. If you speed up the tempo it can easily become a more advanced piece. For instruction in classical guitar and flamenco guitar please reach out to me directly via my website: [ Ссылка ]
The Student Repertoire Series for both classical and flamenco guitar covers many of the pieces I teach in private lessons and workshops. The main purpose of the series is to help my private students and workshop attendees have access to a detailed video of each piece both at a regular speed and at a slow speed with a close-up view. It should be very useful for self learners out there who may want to learn these pieces on their own using the close-up view the slow speed. Please note that this video is not intended to be an instructional video. It is meant to be more of a reference.
