On the 7th of July 2022, I reached the french summit at 5.40am. The guide and myself were the first at the top that morning and I have no words to describe this feeling. Being alone for about 10 minutes, enjoying the sunrise after a tough ascent... Magical.
The 2K HD videos are shaking at times or not always well centred but to keep it light I had the gopro on the head and was not always realising where it was aiming. I tried to select the best shots to give a good perception of the ascent. I hope you will enjoy this clip.
About a week after our ascent both the refuge du Goûter and Tête Rousse were closing due to heavy rock falls and danger of death in the corridor. I was very lucky that the ascent were ahead and that the weather was very cold on the previous night.
