The Wakatobi Islands have some of the best Scuba Diving in Indonesia. It was amazing to be back in this place. I did my first big trip here 8 years ago! The name of the island chain comes the first two letters of each of the four islands. Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia, and Binongko. We dove off the jetty in the island of Wangi, the "Wa" in Wakatobi.

These islands are in the middle of the Coral Sea, on of the three coral hotspots in the world. (The other two being the Caribbean and the Red Sea) Here, you can see an amazing amount of ocean life. The diversity and density is unmatched around the world. I'd recommend staying with a dive resort or live aboard and spending a few days here. It's incredible.

Would love to go back and spend time diving some more sites!
