The state’s death toll from Tropical Storm Ida is still rising. Search and rescue efforts are ongoing, but as the days pass, state leaders are becoming less optimistic.
Monday, officials announced 1,648 positive cases and 5 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 962,020 cases in the state and 26,952 confirmed and probable deaths.
