Fans of Italian football club Genoa watched the first 43 minutes of their team's match against Empoli in near-silence on Sunday to honour the victims of the motorway bridge collapse earlier this month in which 43 died. At the beginning of the match both teams held a minute's silence for the victims. This was the first match held at Genoa's Luigi Ferraris stadium since the disaster.
