I returned to Remic Rapids after a one year absence; After nearly 2 years living in the USA. Returning to Ottawa was more than a simple desire. Griffin-Rankin-Cook Architects had requested I do a piece for the embassy they were building in Kingston, Jamaica. The "Fertility Goddess, which is a balance between male & female, was the object of intention.
The process failed due to 'legal concerns', but the experience resulted in a surprising contract offering from the National Capital Commission' in 1998.
