4K Driving Tour: Palm Springs to Big Bear Lake via Scenic Highway 38
Join me for a beautiful 4K driving tour from Palm Springs International Airport up into the San Bernardino Mountains to the resort town of Big Bear Lake. We'll take the scenic route via Highway 38, also known as the Rim of the World Scenic Byway.

The drive begins leaving Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and heading northwest on I-10 towards Redlands. We'll exit onto Highway 38 and begin the twisting climb up Mill Creek Canyon into the San Bernardino National Forest.

As we gain elevation, you'll see the landscape transform from desert to lush mountain scenery. Highway 38 winds its way up to the 8,443 foot Onyx Summit, with sweeping views of the Inland Empire below.

Descending from the summit, we'll pass through the mountain communities of Angelus Oaks and Forest Falls before merging onto Highway 18 (the Rim of the World Highway). This stretch offers stunning vistas of Big Bear Lake
