iOTCLE-1: Ken Burns, Founder of TinyCircuits (also, Happy Pi Day!)
LaunchHouse
I (Art Geigel) am thrilled to announce that Ken Burns, founder of TinyCircuits in Akron, will be our very first guest speaker at iOTCLE!
TinyCircuits was the winner of Postscape's 2011 Internet of Things award for its TinyDuino product (based on the popular Arduino platform). TinyCircuits also gained considerable notoriety and recognition as a result of a very successful Kickstarter campaign which initially set a goal of $10k and raised well over $100K! As our guest speaker, Ken will discuss his business and technology in more detail and share his views on what the future holds for IOT.
TinyCircuits is an Open Source Hardware company specializing in designing and manufacturing very small (tiny) electronics. TinyCircuits was started in 2011 by Ken Burns with the intent to develop cheap and smart (very easy to use) electronics and sensors based upon the popular Arduino interface. These are the types of electronics and sensors that can be used to help accelerate the growth of IOT.
