Buckhorn Draw Road. [ Ссылка ]
Sego Canyon. [ Ссылка ].
Horseshoe Canyon. [ Ссылка ]
Three of some of the best rock art panels in Utah. These panels consist of petroglyphs and pictographs dating as far back as six thousand years from The Barrier Canyon and Anasazi peoples, The Freemont and the Ute tribes. Buckhorn wash and the Buckhorn draw road is easy access as well as Sego Canyon, without any real hiking involved. But Horseshoe canyon is a pretty epic adventure with a seven mile hike and 64 mile round trip overland route into the backcountry. Dispersed camping can be found near all these locations and two have actual campsites with restrooms but those campground sites need to be reserved in advance. Most access roads would be considered overlanding roads. That is to say dirt roads that are fairly well maintained but can be impassable during and after storms. any one adventure makes for a great road trip but doing all three makes for an epic camping trip, overlanding outdoor experience and bucket list road trip adventure. Anyone who loves the outdoors, hiking, camping, overlanding and road tripping as well as ancient ruins, native american history, petroglyphs, ruins, and pictograph rock art will be stunned by this backcountry adventure.
