Hi all. With the LandTourier back in the stable after an epic trip into the Western Queensland and North Eastern top of South Australia. It's time to wash down, sort gear, repair equipment and wonder at the amazing experience we just created.
Our trip was to venture to the famous Big Red Bash on the first sand dune of the Simpson Desert. With a total adding up to 3650 Kilometers traveled into some of the most beautiful country in Australia.
This clip is a quick overview of an epic 14 day trip. This will head a, probably 10 part series to show the path and wonderful places we ventured to arrive at the most remote music festival in the world!
Traveling to classic Australian towns such as Dolby, Goondiwindi, Nindigully Pub, St George, Cunnamulla, Noccundra, Bulloo, Innamincka through the Great Stony Desert to Birdsville. Then, of coarse, Big Red. The First of the major Sand dunes that run into the Simpson Desert for an unforgettable 5 day event with major acts such as Midnight Oil, Casey Chambers and many, many more....
After 5 days at this amazing event we then traveled an alternative route. Up to 300 Kilometers of some of the roughest corrugated dirt roads in the country. Windorah and the incredible Diamantina region was our first taste of civilization after leaving Birdsville.
Heading through to glorious, majestic towns like Charleville, Roma, Miles and link back up to Dolby before arriving back at the Sunshine Coast.
Both Deb and I want to thank all the wonderful people we now call friends, that we had the pleasure of meeting on this wild adventure.
