The association held a Stakeholder Validation Workshop on Construction Permits process in Kenya at the Fairview Hotel on 5th February 2019. During the workshop, industry players' engagement with county governments revealed that the processes of obtaining construction permits in Kenya are neither clearly documented nor made publicly available, therefore creating an opaque and usually unpredictable environment. The Association sought to address these issues and commissioned a study to collect data about the processes and fees across the counties and plans to make the information publicly available through an information portal dubbed AAK BuildHub.
