After many years as a static exhibit at both the Mid-Suffolk light Railway and later in the KSE trainshed, the SRC Wickham trolley/railmotor was finally released from the platform and lowered onto the rails.
The Railmotor (a type 17a) will now form part of SRCs' permanent way equipment, and restoration work on an authentic trailer-car has already begun. In time, the Railmotor shed will be rebuilt in its original location.
