This was the description of the match
"Announcing FOUNDERS INTENT 3!
Show up at GFL November 3rd at the usual time to join us in our third "The way we think the founders intended us to shoot these matches" defensive pistol match.
So what does that mean? It means a regular IDPA match with some tweaks. Mostly in the stage design. Some in the equipment. Zero changes in the safety area. Safety will still be our #1 priority.
If you wish to participate in the "Founders Intent" match you must abide by these equipment rules.
- There will be 2 'Divisions' participating in the FI match.
- One division will start with 6 and mags loaded to 6 for reloads
- 5+1 at start for semi autos (not a typo). And 6 in your mags
- Revolvers start with 6 and reload with 6
- One division will be load to 'firearm capacity'
- Glock 19? Load 15+1. Top off your other mags.
- XDM 9mm? Load 19+1. Top off your other mags

These will be two separate FI divisions and will have separate winners.
"But, My gun only holds 8 it's not fair that I have to shoot against someone who's loading to 17!"
- This will not really be as big of a deal as you think. Most of the stages will be quick stages with lower round counts (and I'd like to get 6 of them done). Or download to 6 and shoot in that division

- OWB holsters are not allowed if you participate in the challenge, I don't care if a version of your EDC is OWB. The intent is for IWB holsters. Holsters MUST secure in place through the use of a clip of some sort, either to the pant or belt.
- OWB Mag carriers are OK, Reloading from pockets is also ok.
- NO Gamer vests or jackets or outerwear for concealment. Gamer vest concealment garments are NOT ALLOWED for participation in the challenge. All concealment will be achieved through shirt tails.
- NO Appendix Carry or AIWB
- NO Pocket Carry
- Weapon mounted flashlights are allowed (if you carry that way. - MD's discretion)
- Weapon mounted 'carry style' optics are allowed (if you carry that way. - MD's discretion)
If I don't think that a flashlight or a carry optic is part of your normal EDC or at least a version of your EDC it won't be allowed.
Prize table will consist of BRAGGING RIGHTS for the next better part of the year until we do the next one (and maybe some other smaller stuff. We'll see if I can get something together this week.)

EDIT1: Except for the fact that we'll be shooting 'outlaw' stages, if you choose not to participate or fail the 'equipment check' but have otherwise IDPA legal equipment there will still be all the regular IDPA divisions available, you'll just not be eligible for the Founders Intent match awards.
