Wednesday was expected it to be a somewhat complicated day at the frontier.
The Spanish government said it would effect the Schengen border controls which affect children aged 17 and under.
The measures could have created long delays with every child and accompanying adult having their documents thoroughly checked and details logged. But, it seems the measures were never introduced.
Instead, it turned out to be a complicated day for those crossing the frontier but, for a completely different reason.
