With a challenging sandy, light soil and a sole water source from a well replenished yearly by rainfall, traditional irrigation methods were no longer viable.

In recent years, 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 has forced this farmer to manage water even more efficiently and so 𝗦𝘂𝗯-𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (SDI) was the ideal solution.

SDI was installed at a depth of 40 cm within a 75 cm frame. This irrigation system has demonstrated incredible results in its initial applications. And the numbers speak for themselves:
✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 40% reduction in water usage
✅ 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: Up to 40% energy savings
✅ 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 30% increase in yield, translating to about 60 tons more potatoes in both early and late stages.
✅ 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: more uniform potatoes and no production losses, ensuring a consistent, high-quality harvest.
