Louisa Matthews presents a project testing the ability of palaeoecological and palaeolimnological approaches to produce off-site archaeological evaluations (‘up-front’ information used to guide research and excavation decisions), for crannogs (artificial lake islands), and brochs (complex round house-buildings), which are characteristic site-types of Iron Age Scotland.
This short presentation was given by Louisa Matthews (Newcastle University, Physical Geography) to the Scottish Consortium for Rural Research (SCRR: [ Ссылка ]) on 26 May 2021 at a lunchtime seminar event.
