This is a short documentary covering the Highball Bouncing Bomb expedition led by East Cheshire Sub Aqua Club in July 2017. This expedition in conjunction with The Royal Navy's Northern Dive Group, Aspect Surveys, GSE Rentals, Klein Systems and Subsea Tooling Services and other BSAC divers surveyed, identified and lifted two bouncing bombs from Loch Striven in Scotland. These bombs were designed by Barnes Wallace and used the same technology as the Upkeep bombs used to blow up the Ruhr Dams. We also documented a new dive trail in the Loch so any suitably qualified divers can go and explore the bombs on the seabed. See www.ecsac.org.uk for more details.
Underwater footage shot by Kevin Phillips, Lindsay Brown (www.strayseal.com), Drone Footage by Kevin Phillips, stills by Henry Paisey, some background information and footage supplied by Dr Iain Murray. Also includes some footage from ITV News.
