Sightseeing Hida Furukawa town (飛騨古川)
Walking along Setogawa Canal and White-Walled Storehouse Street with swimming carp.
The town of Furukawa, Hida was built as a castle town for Masushima Castle during the Warring States period. There are carp that swim in Setogawa Canal, which flows alongside White-Walled Storehouse Street.
Traditional techniques known as "Hida no Takumi", which the carpenters of the town of Hida applied to the construction of shrines and temples during Nara period, are still in use, and various cloud patterns, can be seen under the eaves of house and temples to this day.
