Background:
It has been almost 80 years since the brave young men of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 291st Regiment, of the 75th Infantry Division of the US Army during WWII went from being coined "The Diaper Division" to the "Bulge Busters". These guys were the youngest fighters of the war with their average age being 19. They were just kids that had poor training, summer uniforms for winter battle, very little food & supplies & yet, against all odds, they pushed back the Nazis out of France then went through Holland & crossed the Rhine River on to a critical area in Germany where they helped to knock out German factories & industry. John Jeckovich, Private First Class, gives in-depth accounts of what actually happened to him and his fellow soldiers. We hope to bring these recollections LIVE to YouTube over the year, taking questions from viewers and really get a sense of what it was like during this critical part of the war that is called the Battle of the Bulge.
