Sundal Podi OR Sundal Masala Powder is an easy to prepare condiment or spice mix for Navaratri Sundals. Sundal is a protein rich snack made with cooked legumes and lentils. This prasadam is offered for all 9 days of Navaratri in South Indian homes.
The Masala podi adds a lot of flavor and can be otherwise used for stir fries made with vazhakkai (raw banana), senai (yam), potato and eggplant (kathirikkai). This podi comes handy when you don’t have fresh coconut at home and need something spicy for side dish recipes.
Shelf life is more than a month if stored in airtight container at room temperature. If storing in refrigerator or freezer, it lasts for more than 3-6 months.
