Chris’s Traditional Irish Brown Soda Bread 🇮🇪😊
Good afternoon folks! Here’s the Soda Bread for that lovely Cabbage & Bacon soup as promised
Recipe
200g of Plain Flour
200g of Whole Wheat Flour
1tsp of Baking Soda
1tsp of Salt
350ml approx of Buttermilk
Baked with steam at 250C for 20 minutes then for a further 20 minutes at 200C
Alternatively bake it on a tray for 40-45 minutes at 200C. You can wrap it in a tea towel afterwards to soften the crust if you want

US CUPS. Approximate measurements
1 3/4 cup All purpose flour
1 3/4 cup Whole Wheat flour
1 tsp of Bicarbonate of Soda
1 tsp of Salt
2 1/2 cups of Buttermilk
