We will discuss several exciting results presented at the Kepler science conference II. Jason Rowe announced the discovery of 833 new planet candidates including several in the habitable zone of their host star. From a remarkable statistical analysis of Kepler data, scientists believe more than a fifth of sun-like stars in the Milky Way are likely to host planets roughly the size and temperature of Earth.
