A new animation explaining the fundamental importance of nature-based solutions to the hazards and impacts of climate change.

This is a creative product of the Nature-based Solutions Initiative ([ Ссылка ]) of which IIED is a major partner and is funded through the Natural Environment Research Council and the Oxford Martin School.

Artwork is by Cécile Girardin (Oxford University), animation by Jonny Lawrence (Vimedy), sound design by Fabio Garces (Sonic Enchantment), and script and narration by Nathalie Seddon (Oxford University and International Institute for Environment and Development, London).

It is the first of a series of animations aimed at general audiences to communicate why protecting nature is very often our best line of defence against harmful environmental change.
