A short video on how I restored oil flow from the lifter up to the top of the engine. My engine started making a loud noise and a mechanic at the marina came over and listened to it. At first glance, he believed there was a lifter not working and causing the noise. As I removed the valve cover, I notice that there was a pushrod out and the rocker was sideways and needed to be put back. Once I tightened everything back to spec, I did an engine oil flush and everything was back to normal. I purchased the boat this spring and even though I had an invoice stating the oil change had been done, I think the oil filter was not replaced. So, let this be a lesson, even though the person from whom you boat the boat or car says he did an oil change and filter change, do it yourself.
