K-pop fans, particularly BTS ARMY, feel J-Hope was snubbed despite the impressive reception to his extended play Hope on the Street Vol. 1.

Given that a substantial margin was given to fan voting, and BTS fandom is known for rallying behind the members, fans were left perplexed when Hobi did not win in the Best Hip Hop category. Despite dominating the category with an impressive 81.1% of the votes, backed by the devoted ARMY, the Chicken Noodle Shop singer lost the award to Lee Young Ji, who ranked sixth with only 0.6% of the votes, raising eyebrows about the legitimacy of the award show.
Once known for dominating every award function, BTS members' snub from the event did not go down well with their followers. Calling out the award show, one fan wrote, "Despite j-hope being at #1 for 'best hip-hop' and V, JK, Jimin and RM in the top 10 of 'Best Artists 10' the award show (KGMA) didn't announced them as winners. Is this a joke or what?"
