In this short new series on "Jesus' Final Days, traditionally called "Holy Week," from Palm Sunday to Easter--I want to take a close look at our varied sources to sort out what we can say with some assurance why he was executed by the Romans. To whatever extent possible I would like to sort out the differences between theology and history--using our earliest account, that of the Gospel of Mark, as a beginning point.
