The attempted coup of 1982 remains one of the country's darkest days. More than 300 people died when a section of Kenya Air Force soldiers tried to overthrow former president Daniel Moi's government. 36 years later, those wrongfully implicated in the attempted mutiny are yet to be compensated despite being cleared of any wrongdoing.
