Traditional Moroccan mint tea is a process to perfect, so we decided how to make mint tea with the Berber people in the high atlas mountains! Check out my vlog on the high atlas mountains and the Berber people here: [ Ссылка ]
Let me start by saying we ate so much amazing Moroccan food while in Marrakech! Some of the highlights included all the food vendors that come out at night in the middle of the square, and also the roasted lamb in Mechoui alley. However, with each meal, we thoroughly enjoyed washing it all down with a few glasses of Moroccan mint tea. So... we wanted to learn exactly how to do this with the Berber people.
Our Berber family welcomed us with open arms, it was such a humble experience to sit in this person's home to see how they live day to day.
Here's the quick guide I learned from the Berber people to make Moroccan mint tea:
1) All tea comes from China but made the Moroccan way, not Chinese way
2) Pour boiling hot water in a tea pot to make sure it's clean
3) Add some green tea to pot
4) Add hot water and shake around. Then pour dirty water into a cup. Repeat 2x
5) Add sugar, mint, and more hot water to pot
6) Pour in/out of glass to mix ingredients (Pour high from glass to create bubbles). Repeat 2x. Then pour again into the glass and drink!
