The genesis for the project came after a disappointing Google search for the 10 most beautiful streets in London. What did I find? Over a dozen blogs listing a bunch of unconvincing and mostly unimpressive "Instagrammable" streets from various tourists who simply don't know the city like a local does. Having lived and breathed London for 10 years across multiple bases (flats, jobs and... well, ex-girlfriends' flats) I feel a responsibility to show the world where the beauty really lies in the UK's capital.
The plan is as follows: upload 100 or more walks of streets which I feel belong on the list in no particular order. After this comes the challenge where I assemble them in order and present the list to the world.
Having sunk some serious hours in already, I have a shortlist of just over 100 streets for consideration. I must stress, if you have suggestions for streets you'd like to see then please discuss in the comments below. I respond to almost all comments! I will take likes/dislikes as a form of feedback as well, of course. Plus if you have friends and family who love London, by all means share the videos! I could use all the feedback I can get. :)

Strand (often referred to as The Strand) is one of the major streets in Central London, linking Trafalgar Square on the west to Fleet Street and the start of the City of London to the east.
Its name come from Old English "strond", meaning edge of the river, in reference to its proximity to the Thames.
The walk goes from east to west, finishing up at Trafalgar Square. On the way we see the following:
At 0:26 we see 229 Strand, of particular interest as it was built in 1625, thus surviving the Great Fire of 1666 and making it one of the oldest buildings in London.
At 2:14 we pass a statue of Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding, who served in both World Wars and played a crucial role in the Battle of Britain, and at 2:20 we pass one of William Ewart Gladstone, a 19th century prime minister.
At 4:08 we pass an 18th century church known as St Mary le Strand - which I believe is French for St Mary the Strand ;)
Filmed: July 2020
