Correction: Jupiter was NOT taken with a 70mm lens.
The past year of imaging the sky, Camera lenses, 80mm telescope and 256mm. Stock Canon XS camera. All images up to 3/8/13,the Whirlpool were taken with a 1987 Meade LX3 2120 - (a $550 scope) - unguided (either through the scope or piggybacked on it). Starting at the whirlpool the scope was re-mounted on a computerized equitorial mount and a guide-scope added. I started dabling in astro imaging around April 2011 with a point-n-shoot camera, the addiction has progressed from there.
