The best thing to do is to appeal. When you file, your application is reviewed by the Social Security Administration personnel. And generally they’re interpreted much more broadly than at the original application phase. So, unlike many other areas of the law, it’s much easier to get Social Security disability on the appeal than it is during the initial application phase. So you should go forward with the appeal.
