[ Ссылка ] Heavy tackle fishing onboard charter boat Ruckus from Waikiki Hawaii, a Great day out but the fishing was a bit slow. Just had a great holiday in Hawaii, Waikiki and can highly recommend it, but also a great chance to go heavy tackle fishing on a charter boat. I joined a shared charter on Ruckus, a 38ft Bertram, to go chase some Blue Marlin and Big Yellowfin Tuna. These are a couple of species we don't particular target off Mackay, especially the extra large models on the Great Barrier reef, so was a good opportunity to give it a go. I believe reasonably affordable atn US $200 for the day with the beauty the distances aren't great and you start trolling virtually straight away as you leave the Marina.
The skipper and crew were great, they tried hard, but the fishing was a bit slow with no strikes or hook-ups, mainly lure trolling. We did some birds working but no luck. Still it was a great day out and see how it's done game fishing in Hawaii with more heavy tackle and the potential to catch a 1000 pound Blue Marlin or 200 pound plus Yellowfin tuna. That's fishing for you.
Make sure you get to Waikiki, Hawaii for a holiday we'll be back for sure, great food, service, shopping and even can go have a fish!!
