The setting of a show is everything. This is especially true when telling a story about grief, loss and change. When Keen Company's Jonathan Silverstein and Obie winner Kathleen Chalfant decided to share Joan Didion's The Year of Magical Thinking, a story about grief and reflection, with live audiences, they knew that the "where" was crucial, especially in 2022.
Watch as Jonathan and Kathleen share the journey of creating a show in intimate spaces (living rooms, community spaces, and more) in 4 NYC boroughs to bring theatre back to before and connect audiences to the work and to each other.
