For the first time, investigational Ebola treatments are being used at scale during an outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, providing hope for people with the disease.
Treatments are administered under a compassionate use framework. WHO clinicians are involved on the ground in helping determine best treatment depending on clinical criteria, complexity of administration and monitoring capacities.
