After Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar’s comment over the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Sindhudurg Fort in Malvan town of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member, Sanjay Raut said that Deepak Kesarkar should be beaten with shoes for saying that there is something good in collapse of Shivaji’s statue.
Earlier, on August 27, Deepak Kesarkar said, “This is an accident. This statue was erected by the Navy. It was Navy Day, Prime Minister was about to come here, so it was done swiftly at that time and everyone praised it. I think there is an opportunity, a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was being built in Arabian Sea.”
