The CALIPRI C14 or C42 from Nextsense does not need to be sent back to the factory for calibration. It comes with a target model which is itself precisely measured and certified. The cylinders that the CALIPRI will self-test against cover the entire field of view of the CALIPRI to ensure that it retains maximum repeatability and precision. This type of calibration takes just a few seconds and can be performed easily at the beginning of each shift, or each day. This video shows how it is done.
