My son and I built this simple shelf to display his running and basketball medals. The shelf is 6 feet long and has 36 hooks made from dowels. The shelf has a mitered edge for decoration. It is attached to the wall through the back of the shelf and into the wall studs. We used 2 - 6 foot 1x6 pine boards and 1 half inch dowel rod for supplies.
