One of the most heartfelt performances ever recorded: Elgar conducting an inspired BBC Symphony Orchestra in a performance of his Prelude to the oratorio The Kingdom, recorded in London in 1933.
The video portion is made up of rare still and moving images of Elgar, plus scenes from his beloved Malvern Hills and Worcester Cathedral in England.
For the beautiful pictures of Malvern and Worcester thanks to Peter Aston, David Benton, Sean Crawford, Chris Eltman, Andrew J. Kelsall, Steve McDonald, Alan Trow, and especially 'Flash of Light' for the inspiring images.
