The 🇦🇹 Austrian ÖBB #Nightjet with a Siemens #Taurus locomotive arrives in Aachen early in the morning: Here, the Austrian locomotive needs to be changed so that the #train can continue on it's way to Brussels (Brüssel / Bruxelles) in Belgium.

The Nightjet's Taurus locomotive is not able to run with the Belgian voltage system used by the Belgian railway SNCB / NMBS: That is the reason why the Austrian #locomotive is changed in Aachen, the most important train station at the borders between Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. The Belgian loco is a Siemens #EuroSprinter (BR 18 / Série 18), which later pulls the train towards Brussels. The Austrian locomotive was also a Siemens EuroSprinter (ES64U2, "Taurus"), also known as BR 1016 - in Germany, they are known as BR 182.
