Prime coats are mainly used to ensure stable adhesion to the subsurface and the top coating. They offer additional protective functions for additional system. High residual humidity, resulting vapour pressure from the subsurface or damaging influences of subsurface contamination, e.g. with oils or grease can be supressed with suitable primer coats or even ruled out. Using the example of the epoxy primer ASODUR-GBM broadcast with sand, we show you how a primer can be processed safely.
