Marking the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's 30th Anniversary in 2010, Sen. Douglas Henry, Martha Ingram, Gov. Winfield Dunn, and Gov. Ned McWherter reflect on their roles in establishing TPAC with John Seigenthaler and Kathleen O'Brien. Dedicated in September 1980, TPAC was the first of its kind in the nation -- built and owned by the state, managed by a non-profit, and endowed by private fundraising.
